• Council Pays for 2-Way Radio

    15.12.2009 / Category: News

Corby Borough Council has paid for digital 2-way radio systems which are to be used in Northamptonshire pubs.

The scheme enables pubs and bars in the area to alert each and the police of potential troublemakers as they migrate from one venue to the next. A recent CAA (Comprehensive Area Assessment) report by the Audit Commission found that Corby had a significant binge drinking problem, and there were high levels of alcohol related crime in Northampton.
