Greene King MD Retires
Greene King has announced the retirement of David Elliot, Managing Director of their tenanted pub division ‘Pub Partners’. He is to be replaced by Simon Longbottom.
David Elliot has been with Greene King for eleven years, and has seen the company grow significantly in that time : from 620 to over 1,300 tenanted pubs and an increase in operating profit from £32million in 1998 to £71million in 2008/2009.David will stay with Greene King until the end of January, at which time he will also stand down from the Board.
Simon Longbottom will join the group after a career in the leisure industry. He has over 11 years experience in the pub sector including roles at Mitchells & Butlers, Bass Taverns and Mill House Inns.
